New Projects and General Update March 2026

As mentioned in my January 2026 update I have started making handmade books and this has now become slightly addictive during the recent poor weather. It enables me to capture images, edit them, print them and then create a handmade book to suit the images.

So far I have made two A4 size books, the 21cm by 21cm book mentioned last month and now a smaller screw and post book to hold some of my more recent ‘Rust’ images.

I have a list of other images that otherwise would sit idle on my computer that I intend to make books out of. I will post images of some of these soon, in case anyone would like to discuss how they are made.

With some glimpses of Spring I will attempt to get out and start capturing images both on my mirrorless camera but also expand my portfolio of IR images. I hope to get some interesting IR captures with the green shoots of Spring coming through.

Finally partially as part of the booking making work I am experimenting with textures and patterns either out of the camera or in post processing to use as inside covers or bookend pages.
